At Clean Fridays, we respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information honestly, transparently, and securely. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information about customers and cleaners when you use our website and services.

What we collect

  • Customer details: name, email, phone, address, booking details, notes you provide
  • Cleaner details: name, email, phone, city, verification documents, Stripe connect status
  • Account data: authentication identifiers, timestamps, and activity needed to operate the service
  • Payment metadata: amounts and identifiers (via Stripe). We do not store full card numbers
  • Uploads: dispute evidence and cleaner documents stored in Firebase Storage

Why we collect it

  • Provide and manage bookings, payments, and scheduling
  • Verify cleaners and maintain trust and safety
  • Send necessary notifications (booking, reminders, verification, payouts)
  • Resolve disputes and provide customer support
  • Comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse

How we process and store data

  • Authentication via Firebase Authentication
  • Data stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Australia region when available)
  • Documents and evidence stored in Firebase Storage
  • Transactional emails sent via Mailjet (recipient, subject, content)
  • Payments and payouts via Stripe (PCI-compliant); we receive tokens/IDs, not card numbers

Sharing

We share only what’s necessary to deliver the service: Stripe for payments/payouts, Mailjet for emails, and Google Cloud/Firebase for hosting and storage. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

We retain booking and account records as needed for operations, accounting, and disputes. You can request deletion of your account where feasible; some records may be kept where legally required or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., invoices, payout records, fraud prevention).

Security

We apply access controls, encryption in transit, and least-privilege principles. No online service can be 100% secure, but we continuously improve safeguards and monitor for issues.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside Australia depending on their infrastructure. We select reputable providers and aim to use regional services where practical.
